With the rank-6 witness bounds/qubit_T-m5-upper-6.json (Lean tier) this settles χ(T^5) = 6, and by projection χ(T^6) = 6. The argument (docs/notes/t5_rank5_exclusion.md) depends on: (1) Fact 2, at most two absent terms at any two-qubit point: χ(T^3) = 3, bounds/qubit_T-m3-lower-3.json; no analogue of the H^5 Fact 1 is used, since χ(T^4) = 3 lets a one-qubit slice see three terms. (2) The single base point 00: the visible terms there number three, four or five, and the matchers carry the invisible terms with every flat of F2^2 missing 00 (the 124 flat configurations Fact 2 allows split by the invisible multiset at 00 into 28 cases, all run). (3) The slice structure lemma, which makes every option set exhaustive; the matchers assume nothing about the visible terms' flats. (4) The lists: the 5-cover census of |T〉⊗3 by the compiled kernel (research/t5_rank5/results/census5_full.json, regenerated per pivot pair by the batches), the degenerate 5-multisets (degenerate5.json), the 4-covers of the rank-4 record (research/t5_rank4/covers4.json) and the 4 3-covers, all re-enumerated by the certificate. (5) Exactness: amplitudes in Q(zeta_24), both primes 1 mod 24, modular supersets, every candidate and hit re-decided mod 2013265921 and in floating point; a block, residual or pair the matcher cannot decide raises and fails the batch (none did). (6) Controls (results/control_*.json): the rank-6 witness from its all-visible bases at 00 (the two kappa = 2 bases abort at the default candidate cap and are recorded as aborted, on no rank-5 path), planted instances at every flat and flat pair including the repeated-base, ambiguous, same-state and cancelling-pair variants, the rank-3 decomposition of |T〉⊗4 along a qubit pair, the lists against fresh enumerations, and the stored residual tables as consistency checks.
this repository · stabrank research/t5_rank5 · two-qubit base slice at 00: every rank-5 decomposition of |T〉⊗5 has three, four or five terms visible at 00 along qubits 1, 2 (χ(T^3) = 3), so its base is a full 3-, 4- or 5-cover of |T〉⊗3 and the invisible terms lie on the six flats missing 00; every base is completed slice by slice under the slice structure lemma for every flat choice, modulo 65521 over Q(zeta_24) with exact re-decision

The certificate checks the partition against the enumerator and the census hash, re-enumerates the 3-covers, the 4-covers and the degenerate 5-multisets, verifies the hashes and geometry of every output, re-decides every stored hit, fails on any refusal or undecided run, and re-runs two batches from scratch; completeness rests on the stored outputs and on research/t5_rank5/batch.py, which regenerates any batch (batch.py K)."
